Volunteer Achievement Awards 2009 - Nominations Needed, UK

For a fifth consecutive year Diabetes UK will be running its Volunteer Achievement Awards to celebrate and recognise the important work all its volunteers do. Awards can be given to individuals or groups. Nominations are welcome from volunteers, voluntary groups, healthcare professionals and Diabetes UK staff. Any Diabetes UK volunteer can be nominated for an award, and volunteers are also welcome to nominate themselves. There are four award categories: - Communications award - Working with children and young people award - Work to improve quality of diabetes care and services award - The Bryan Walliker Fundraising Award If you know someone who has been an outstanding volunteer for Diabetes UK, you can nominate them for an award by completing a nomination form, which you can download under related-links. You can request a paper version of the form from the Volunteer Development team by calling 020 7424 1000 or by emailing volunteering@diabetes.org.uk The awards will be presented at the Volunteering Conference 2009 in Manchester.
